My Guide Ellen Mesdog
I've come to know Ellen over the last 4 seasons at the Erratic Rock Hostal in Puerto Natales.
Her Erratic Rock Guiding profile reads "Ellen grew up in the saddle. Being raised in the Netherlands by an all-horse, all-the-time family, riding and breaking horses was a family tradition. But now, competitive show jumping has taken a back seat to multi-day, back country horseback rides in the extreme conditions of Patagonia. Ellen lived in the United States for ten years, and now has been living and guiding in Chile for five. She has a degree in Social Sciences and speaks Dutch, English and Spanish. Her love for horses and the outdoors is obvious and is reflected in her tours."

Circles on the hill sides
Over a dozen of these mysteriously formed circles appear on the grassy hills. Most have a large circle with a smaller connecting circle on the side. These formations have different grass species and are stubby in height. Some speculate these are made by aliens. Based on my observations of juvenile foxes and rabbits that instinctively playfully run in circuits, I suspect their made by wildlife.
